New Sneak Peek with the Cast and Producers' Perspectives

We are still ten days away from the return of the Walking Dead but AMC has shared a few sneak peeks.

The first sneak peek video also includes behind the scene commentary from the producers and our favorite characters. 

They discuss in great detail the plight and new challenges that the group now have to deal with. Several of the actors share their thoughts on the mindset and struggles that their characters are facing.

The second video seems to show snippets of the group immediately after they disbanded. The entire group is struggling to survive. Things look dismal and chaotic. As much as I was hoping, I'm not sure about Baby Judith anymore. She is nowhere in sight.

The Walking Dead Spin-off still In Development

The “companion series” was announced several months ago, but we had the impression it was further along in the development stages.

AMC network chief Charlie Collier and programming head Joel Stillerman stated that The Walking Dead spin-off is not very far along.

The spin-off is in the incubation stages and right now it’s more a philosophical discussion over why there should be another version of the show. Once they answer that, they’ll zero in on the specific creative direction of the spin-off. So we have some more time to sit tight until it develops. 

In the mean time, as we wait for the TWD return here's a brand new mid-season trailer that reveals our favorite survivors separated and exhausted trying to make it on their own. 

The Walking Dead returns Sunday, February 9 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
